These giant plants can grow upwards of six feet in height, and produce giant, green fruits from only a few inches above the soil level, all the way to the top of the plant. While each okra can grow over 8 inches in length, hence the name, the fruits are most tender when harvested at 3-5” long. Perkins Long Pod okra are ideal for canning or pickling, and are delicious when added to soups, curries, and gumbos.
